This service will help you if you need:
- to remove grease or fats – such as in a kitchen
- to remove grime and debris – like powder from a road
- a quick and cost-effective method of removing product build-up
- to remove salt spray or algae from places that are always damp
- a simple building wash
- to backwash clogged plenums and insect screens
If you have a need like one of the above, and pressure washing suits your situation, it is normally the most cost-effective option.
What is your solution?
Some people know it as water blasting. We call it pressure washing. Blasting implies a destructive and careless approach to cleaning a surface. This pressure washing service is non-destructive: cleaning without damaging the surface, not flaking paint off, never pushing water under sealings.
You probably already understand what pressure washing is. It is a relatively simple cleaning method that most people can do.
However, we bring a unique food safety focus to the table.
Why should you use us?
Our trained and competent technicians know exactly where water shouldn’t go, such as in your ventilation system. They can look at seals, notice flaky paint, observe the way the roof rolls and clean so that your factory and product is protected.
Additionally, an understanding of storm water drainage systems means our technicians don’t dispose of waste where it shouldn’t go. Our specialist vacuum recovery equipment simultaneously rinses and collects the washing water at the point of cleaning. Our waste is disposed of at approved sites.
Similarly, our technicians understand why cross-contamination is such a big deal at your site; health and safety are fundamental to what you do. Our food safety focus means your product will never be contaminated by our cleaning methods. Our gear is regularly maintained so we can travel from factory to factory safely, without spilling oil or spreading any germs.
Your site is in safe hands; our technicians are trained to notice issues. We understand how a small problem can become a huge one if left unattended. If they come across a broken light cover or dodgy seal, we will always let you know.
Our technicians understand how to use heat and chemicals to soften and release soil and improve cleaning your process to get the most efficient and least harmful clean for you. We use a range of pressure washing methods including foaming chemicals and steam cleaning – wet and dry. People mostly talk about hot water pressure washing. We can also pressure wash using dry steam vapour.
Our service is more cleaning for hygiene than rust removal or surface preparation etc. Examples of where we use this service:
- path washes
- building washes
- silo and cooling tower exterior cleaning
- roof washes
- wide area cleaning
- large area cleaning
- confined space and hazardous area cleaning
- high cleaning
Other interesting points of our service include:
- specialist attachments for cleaning drains, tanks, gutters, roofs
- motorised or electric engines (no fumes for indoors)
- optional self contained water supply and 100 meters high pressure hose – we can get anywhere!
- telescopic high reach attachments (to 9m reach)
You could coat your soil in toxic chemicals.
Although chemical cleaning has its place, please be wary. You could put a really strong chemical, such as bleach, on your roof or wall to remove soil. It will destroy the soil, but it will also destroy your surface if applied incorrectly.
You could use ultra-high pressure blasting.
This kind of blasting is useful if you want to descale rust or remove paint or heavily baked-on milk powder etc without damaging the substrate. We do not have the equipment to provide this service.
You could use manual cleaning.
Using a hose and brush to clean is more gentle and cheaper than pressure washing, so is great for things like older houses that have a few gaps and sensitive surfaces.
You could use dry ice blasting.
Dry ice blasting is a waterless option, perfect for areas with very high hygiene requirements.
You could use Spray and Walk Away.
This is an effective chemical for removing moss and mould. However, it does not remove dirt, and being a chemical, it cannot be used on every surface.
How much pressure do we use?
Under 3000 psi.
Can pressure washing remove an oil stain from concrete?
No. You need a degreaser and hot water to do this. If the concrete is unsealed, there is no guarantee you will remove the stain, but you can hopefully lighten it.
Other questions factory managers ask us include:
Will it wreck the surface?
Will it take the paint off?
Will it push water inside?
Will it get inside the electrical fittings?
Pressure washing can do all of the above, if in the wrong hands. Our technicians are experienced and competent. Using our service, you do not need to worry about any of the above.
How much does pressure washing cost?
The price for pressure washing is made up of:
- Industrial cleaning supervisor: $80.79/hour
- Motorised pressure washer: $120/day
- Fuel usage
- Travel to site
This price is exclusive of GST and has a minimum charge of 2 hours. If long distance travel or working at heights is required, this will increase the price.
Where does pressure washing not work?
- Pressure washing is not suitable for electrical or sensitive equipment. For this, dry ice blasting is the best option as it does not use water.
- You cannot pressure wash flashings or seals on a building.
